When third party companies receive your package of used cartridges, they hire professionals to clean the cartridges and refill them with their own formula of ink. The closer the formula is to the brand name’s formula, the better quality the cartridge is considered. After the cartridge is cleaned and refilled, it is then repackaged and resold at a much lower price point. These cheaper cartridges are offered to the consumers and it turns out to be such a great deal for the consumer at the end of the recycling process.
